While I don’t plan on posting links every day, I do still read a fair amount as can be seen from my Google Reader stats:

Clearly I can’t keep up with everything that gets pushed into my feeds but I try to keep somewhat up to date on a few of them. Every now and then (probably a couple times a week) I will wittle down the large amount that I scan through to the ones I find most interesting, for your viewing pleasure. 

 

While there is nothing new in this run down of the 27 Traits of Successul people, I still find articles that focus on this somewhat important to pay attention to as every now and then we need a little refresher.

 

The Different Types of Manliness, while not a complete listing it still gives six different types of men.  Sadly, I can’t say as though I fit completely under any one category which makes me wonder why I even bother sharing it but hopefully someone will find it helpful/comforting to label themselves in an arbitrary way.

 

I now know two respectable people who have openly admitted to using online dating sites to what sounds like adjunct failure.  While I almost adamantly refuse to sign up for a dating site, I may just change my tune one day.  In the meantime, if you are perusing dating sites, the good folks over at okcupid have some statistics to share with you regarding your first contact.

 

Ice-cream has mind bending powers to make you eat more.  Well, not exactly but a recent study has shown that fat from certain foods such as ice-cream and burgers head to the brain getting it to send messages to the body’s cells, warning them to ignore the appetite-suppressing signals from leptin and insulin.  This affect can last up to three days.

Looks kind of cool in an ominous way, a subset of 500 cargo ships parked off the coast of Singapore show the depths of the plague still crippling the world’s economies.
